Check in
On day of arrival check in is from 16.00 to 18.00. We do respectfully ask if you are running late to let us know as soon as you can. Unless by prior arrangement we are unable to accommodate late arrivals.

Departures
Check out on day of departure is by 11.00. If no one is coming in we can be flexible but this must be arranged 24 hours before departure.

Booking terms

All prices are per room, per night and include a generous breakfast. We do not offer a single occupancy rate.
On line or telephone bookings must be secured by using an acceptable valid credit/debit card or BACS. A 50% deposit will be taken on booking which is non-refundable.

Cancellations

If the booking is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.

If the booking is cancelled 14 or more days before arrival then a charge equal to 50% of the stay will be made.

For last minute bookings made within 5 days of arrival. A deposit equal to the total cost of the booking is required and is non refundable.

In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.

If you have booked through an OTA (On line Travel Agent/booking company) this will not apply as we will adhere to their Terms & Conditions of Booking.

N.B. - For ALL cancellations - We will do all we can to re-sell your dates and if we do will receive a refund in full minus £65 admin fee for our time.

IF THE BOOKING WAS MADE THROUGH A THIRD PARTY - The balance will be taken on the day of arrival if you have booked through an OTA. If you have booked directly with us you can pay on departure.

If one party (Group) is taking all 3 rooms we require payment in full 8 weeks before your arrival date.
If staying 1 night the full payment will be taken on booking which is non-refundable.

INSURANCE
We strongly advise that travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances. Please make sure as of the 17 May 2021 that your insurance covers pandemics and especially covers personal illness with Covid-19 or any of its’ variants as refunds will not be given unless the whole country is in national lockdown. Refunds will not be given due to guests contracting Covid-19 or any of its’ variants which means that they will not be able to come on their booked dates. If we manage to re-sell the dates we will move the dates to a time in the future by mutual agreement subject to availability and must be within 6 months of the original booking. If there is a price difference this is carried by the guest.

We accept most credit /debit cards.
We do not accept cheques. There is no charge for card payments.

Pets
We can not unfortunately accept any pets, (Cats, dogs, goldfish tortoise etc). N.B. We have our own dogs on the premises.

No smoking
For the comfort and safety of all our guests we are exclusively a non-smoking establishment. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

Damage
We reserve the right to charge guests for any damage caused to property or structure of Chillingham Manor. Also any thing removed or taken. We will make a charge to the guests credit/debit card or send an invoice for the cost for payment to the guests registered address.

Liability
The liability for guests for their account is not waved and guests agree to be held personally liable for any charges incurred during their stay. In the event of a booking for more than one room (a group booking) the lead or registered guest (a group booking) the lead guest providing credit/debit card details is personally liable for any person, group, company or association that fails to pay all or part of such charges.
